Method
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil. Stir until the beef is evenly coated and allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Step 2: While the beef marinates, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the chow mein noodles and cook until al dente. Drain in a colander and set aside.
- Step 3: In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring to develop a nice sear. Then stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Step 4: Push the beef to one side of the skillet and add minced garlic and ginger to the empty side. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 5: Add broccoli florets and half of the sliced green onions to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
- Step 6: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Pour this sauce over the beef and vegetables in the skillet and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 7: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce and heated through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Step 8: Serve the One-Pan Mongolian Beef Noodles with Broccoli immediately, garnished with the remaining sliced green onions.
Notes
