Ingredients

For the Gochujang Chicken
  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs skinless, juicy and tender
  • 2 tbsp gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for cooking
For Garnish
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, and grated ginger. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Step 2: Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for best flavor.
  3. Step 3: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off.
  4. Step 4: Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  5. Step 5: Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Step 6: Serve the sliced chicken garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
