Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will make cleanup a breeze!
- Step 2: In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. This will be your flavorful coating.
- Step 3: In another shallow dish, beat the eggs until well mixed. This will help the panko stick.
- Step 4: Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish. Look at those beautiful crumbs!
- Step 5: Dip each chicken drumstick into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. We want a nice light coating.
- Step 6: Next, dip the floured drumstick into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Step 7: Finally, coat the drumstick in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. This is where the magic happens!
- Step 8: Place the coated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil for that extra crispiness we all love.
- Step 9: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy. The smell will be irresistible!
- Step 10: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy every bite!
Notes
Leftovers? Not a problem! Let the drumsticks cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
