Ingredients

For the Tacos
  • 1 lb ground beef the heart of our tacos, juicy and flavorful.
  • 1 tbsp onion powder adds a nice depth of flavor.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder because everything is better with garlic!
  • 1 tbsp paprika for a little smokiness and color.
  • 1 tsp salt to enhance all those lovely flavors.
  • 1 tsp black pepper just the right amount of kick.
  • 1 tbsp mustard for that classic burger taste.
  • 1 tbsp ketchup a must for that Big Mac vibe.
  • 8 units taco shells go for crispy ones for the best texture.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce freshness is key!
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes juicy and vibrant.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese because cheese makes everything better.
  • 1 cup pickles, sliced for that tangy crunch.
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing the finishing touch that ties it all together.

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it is fully cooked. Remember to drain any excess fat!
  2. Step 2: Add the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, mustard, and ketchup to the beef. Stir well to combine and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. Step 3: While the beef is cooking, prepare the taco shells according to the package instructions until they are crispy.
  4. Step 4: Assemble each taco by adding a generous portion of the seasoned beef to the taco shell.
  5. Step 5: Top the beef with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced pickles.
  6. Step 6: Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the top of each taco for that iconic flavor.
  7. Step 7: Serve immediately and enjoy the deliciousness!

Notes

If you happen to have leftovers, store the components separately in airtight containers. The beef can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.
