Ingredients

For the Crack Chicken Orzo
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large pot, combine the chicken breasts, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, chicken broth, salt, and pepper.
  2. Step 2: Cook on medium heat until the chicken is fully cooked and the cream cheese has melted, about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Remove the chicken from the pot and shred it using two forks.
  4. Step 4: Return the shredded chicken to the pot and stir in the orzo pasta. Cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until the orzo is tender.

  6. Step 6: Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and fresh parsley if desired.
