  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs help bind the meatballs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese adds a savory, cheesy flavor
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped for a pop of color and freshness
  • 1 large egg helps hold the meatballs together
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced because everything is better with garlic
  • 1 tsp salt enhances all the flavors
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper for a little kick
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano brings in that Italian flavor
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil another herb that pairs beautifully
  • 1 jar marinara sauce the perfect complement to our meatballs
  • to taste olive oil for cooking

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Large Pot
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: First, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Once it's al dente, drain it and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 12-15 meatballs.
  4. Step 4: In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the meatballs. Cook them for about 5-7 minutes, turning them occasionally until they are browned on all sides.
  5. Step 5: Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs in the skillet. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Step 6: Finally, serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Enjoy every bite!
